Board and batten creates vertical rhythm
Board and batten can make a wall feel taller and more tailored. It works well on full-height feature walls, bedroom walls, dining rooms, stair walls, and modern traditional interiors.
Wainscoting anchors the lower wall
Wainscoting typically protects and defines the lower portion of a wall. It can feel especially natural in dining rooms, hallways, entry spaces, and homes with existing traditional trim.
Details should match the house
